Speak the Blessing, Part Three

Dear Parent,

I have another SECRET to share with you…

This one is very obvious… But people overlook it…

They think because the Blessing of Abraham is theirs, and they are heirs of salvation, automatically, ideas will fall into their laps like ripe cherries off a tree…

However, this is not the case.

"Just because the Blessing of Abraham is yours doesn't mean you'll automatically get ideas." Share on X

If this was the case, the Bible would not teach us to ask for wisdom (James 1:5).

If this was the case, the Word of God would not teach us to acknowledge God in all our ways, so that He would direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5–6).

If this was the case, God would not say when we seek Him with all our hearts we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).

The Word says “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” (Proverbs 25:2).

Why would the Lord conceal Ideas?

So that the ideas would not be stolen from us, and our plans thwarted by the enemy.

So, even though the Lord promised to teach us to profit (Isaiah 48:17), we still need to ASK Him for ideas.

We have to ask Him and keep asking Him, until He gives us the ideas that will elevate us, and give us financial increase.

The Amplified version of Matthew 7:7 puts it this way: Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.

So, we have to keep asking until we are sure of what to do.

Then, even after God has given us the Idea, we are to remain there, and ask Him HOW to proceed with the idea.

So, how can we know that the ideas we receive are actually from God?

The Holy Spirit will bear witness with our spirits. And as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God (Romans 8:14).

There are two books I would like to recommend that will teach you to follow God’s leading: Understanding Divine Direction – by David O. Oyedepo; and How You Can Be Led by the Spirit of God – by Kenneth E. Hagin.

It might surprise some people that we actually need to ask God for ideas.

However, God doesn’t force His will or ideas on people.

There are actually some people who want to live their lives their own way, doing what they want, without seeking God for His opinion.

So, God won’t interfere with their plans.

And as long as you are willing to live your life without God’s input, He will let you.

But the Lord said that all those who make plans without seeking His advice end up in a bad way (Isaiah 30:1–3).

His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8–9), and He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10).

So we are better off seeking Him for help, ASKING Him for ideas, and asking Him to show us HOW to implement those ideas.
