Speak The Blessing, Part Five

Dear Parent,

Stop telling every Tom, Dick, and Harry what you are up to.

At the moment when God gives you ideas for wealth creation, silence is golden.

Yes, experts say you should share your ideas, goals, or plans with others, but I think that is a bad idea.

This is why:

The less the enemy knows about your plans, the more you can get a head start on him.

A picture of a smiley zipping it's mouth shut.

What do I mean?

The devil doesn’t know what God reveals to you.

Your enemy only knows what you reveal to others. He doesn’t know what God reveals to you.

Let’s take a look at this parable from the Bible:

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”

– Matthew 13:44.

This man found a treasure worth more than what he had, went and sold all he had to buy the field in which he hid the treasure.

Now imagine this: His friends would have been wondering why he was selling all he had. They may have asked him questions.

What if he shared his plans with curious people?

What if one of those curious people already had the resources to buy that land before the man was able to sell all his property he had to generate the money he needed to buy the land?

Do you think they would wait for him to buy the land first, or would they buy it before the man?

It’s on a first come, first served basis! Whoever gets the land first would own it with the buried treasure.

This is what happens to many believers. God gives them ideas, but instead of acting on those ideas, these people naively share their ideas with others who beat them to acting on those ideas.

Am I saying don’t share your ideas with anyone? No.

What I’m saying is, get started on your ideas, but before you tell everyone on social media (I see you, Aunty!) ensure that you already have results, and your results are speaking for themselves.

You don’t need to prove a thing to anyone.

You don’t need to talk too much.

A fool’s voice is known by his many words.

"You don’t need to talk too much. A fool’s voice is known by his many words." Share on X

“For a dream comes through much activity, And a fool’s voice is known by his many words.”

– Ecclesiastes 5:3

If you are busy working on those ideas, you shouldn’t even have the time to talk about them.

I know you may have nosy friends or family members, but when they ask you intrusive questions such as, “What are you up to?” You could simply reply by saying that you are working on something important, and you can’t tell them about it now because you want it to be an exciting surprise.

It may be difficult sticking to your guns and keeping your plans to your chest, but ask the Lord for help to be discreet, and He will help you.

So tell me, do you find it difficult keeping your ideas to yourself especially when you have not acted on them? Please share your answer in the comments.
