Speak the Blessing, Part Two

Dear Parent,

I wrote yesterday that our words are powerful.

I also wrote that your words determine whether God can help you or not.

As a Christian, God has assigned angels to help you.

Do you know that your words also affect whether angels can help you or not?

Don’t believe me?

Okay.

Read this: Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands? (Ecclesiastes 5:6).

Guess what, Dear Parent? Angels can be assigned to work on your behalf by your words because they are sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:13—14).

Angels don’t know the meaning of, “I was joking. I didn’t mean it!” They take our words seriously.

It would be better not to say anything if all you want to say about yourself, your child, or your situation is negative (I’m also issuing a warning to myself).

So let’s go back to that interesting topic of yesterday: Wealth that is a fruit of the Blessing of Abraham…

This time, I want to focus on income.

How does it come?

There are two concepts I would like to discuss here: Financial Miracles and Financial Blessing.

So, how do these two work?

FINANCIAL MIRACLE: Someone walks up to you and says, “God told me to give you this,” and gives you an envelope containing $1,000. (This has happened to me on several occasions — different amounts of money).

FINANCIAL BLESSING: God gives you ideas to generate income, you apply those ideas (maybe by selling a product or a service), and you make the income. (This is what has been happening recently to me).

Which one is faster and more desirable?

The Financial Miracle. (Who does not like free cash?)

Which one takes more time to see results (But is highly recommended)?

The Financial Blessing.

Now, why do you think the Financial Blessing is highly recommended?

Because financial miracles don’t happen every time, and we usually outgrow them.

What I mean is, As we grow in Christ God expects us to be more responsible with our gifts and talents, and HE wants us to apply our skill to provide value to others so they can pay us with money.

But… We Christians, we like financial miracles. We just want to sit down somewhere and have someone walk up to us with an envelope containing cash that will solve our urgent needs…

I’m ashamed to say this, but many of us are LAZY. We make too many EXCUSES.

There is so much we can do, especially when we have Jesus Christ living inside of us.

We are connected to the God of all creation. The One who created the earth from nothing. Is He not enough for us?

So… I learned another SECRET I will share with you (I’m full of secrets these these days, aren’t I? 😉)

When you thank God for the little you have He will be encouraged to give you more.

Remember He gives us wealth through IDEAS.

Keep thanking Him. Don’t worry about what you don’t have (Philippians 4:6—7).

Trust that He will come through for you.

Believe that He never lies, and His Word is true.

Speak His Word over your situation, believing that circumstances will change for the better, if you don’t give up (Galatians 6:9).

Understand that in the case of Financial Blessing, there is Seedtime and Harvest (Genesis 8:22).

It’s a natural law, and it’s also a spiritual law.

What you sow in time, effort, and giving reaps a harvest at the appointed time.

Some things you sow, you don’t reap the benefits until after some years. But there are other things you sow, you will reap the benefits in weeks.

If you want to reap corn, sow corn. You will get the harvest after some weeks.

When you consistently sow the Word of God and prayer into your life, guess what you will reap? The law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus will come into effect in your life.

So, learn to speak the Blessing over your life, and with time, if you don’t get tired of doing so, your life will be transformed positively.
